Xylophones
Xylophones are instruments with removable tuned wooden bars. The bars are placed on a solid resonator box to give maximum sound. Empire Music carries Suzuki and Emus brand xylophones in soprano, alto and bass models. Although the Orff Schulwerk method works with diatonic instruments, chromatic add-ons for all instruments are available.
The notes and ranges on the Xylophones are the same as for the metallophones: soprano C5-A6 , alto C4-A5, bass C3-A4. Each xylophone comes with 1 Bb and 2F#s and appropriate mallets.
The xylophone resonator boxes come with a 1-year warranty, the bars have a 5-year warranty. Accessories and replacement parts are available.
