Provides suggestions to enable teachers to help students achieve the fundamentals of recorder playing, plus supplementary and complementary tasks for students who have mastered the skills, and varied ways of continued practice for those students still struggling, by using four categories:
1) Literacy: includes new notes and fingering, rhythmic and melodic vocabulary, form, terminology
2) Practice Process: includes introduction and integration of new skills, repetition with variation
3) Co-ordination: fingering, body percussion, mallet technique
4) Extensions: creative choices, improvisation, movement, ensemble sequences
