Unpitched metal bells for hand percussion, drum circles and world music programs.

Agogo bells are two connected bells of different sizes, giving a high and a low tone from one instrument. GMP models are available in a standard and an open-ended form. The African gankogui is the same idea in a hand-forged double bell, and the thumb bell is a smaller single version played with the thumb.

Cowbells come hand-held and mounted, from GMP and MEINL, in steel and painted finishes.

What all of these share is a hard, cutting tone that sits above drums without being drowned out. In West African and Latin ensembles the bell usually holds the timeline pattern that everything else locks to, which makes it one of the more important parts in a drum circle rather than a decorative one.

Beaters are usually included or can be a simple wooden stick.
