MusiCounts School Music Funding: Apply for Up to $20,000

MusiCounts has opened applications for its School Music Funding Programs. Educators can apply for up to $20,000 for musical instruments and equipment needed to sustain an existing program or to start something new. 

Which stream fits your program?

You do not have to choose before you start. The intake form is shared by both streams, and the MusiCounts team uses your answers to assess which one is right for you.

Not sure where to start?

This year MusiCounts will identify applicants who have a strong vision for a new music program but need support turning that vision into a clear plan. Some successful applicants may receive grant funding alongside expert mentorship to help shape, resource and implement their program.

How do you apply?

Start by completing the intake form. It takes about five minutes and helps the MusiCounts team assess which grant stream is right for you. The application suited to your project follows from there.

The CBC Music Class Challenge, powered by MusiCounts is accepting applications. Schools and community groups showcase their music program on a national stage while competing for thousands of dollars in MusiCounts instrument grants.

The Fellowship for Emerging Songwriters and Composers is commissioning new contemporary Canadian scores for classrooms, to be made freely available to educators nationwide in the coming months.
