Alto metallophones from SUZUKI and EMUS, sitting in the middle of the metallophone range. This is the metallophone most Orff programs buy first, since it doubles comfortably with alto xylophones and sits in a singable register.

Both models are diatonic 16-bar instruments in C major with F♯ and B♭ bars included. A chromatic add-on is available for the SUZUKI alto metallophone.
