Collection: Tuneable Tubolos

GMP lug-tuned tubolos, in three sizes and five finishes, singly or as three-piece sets.

A tubolo is a straight-sided tube drum with one head. It speaks higher and drier than a djembe, with a short note that carries over a group instead of adding to the low end underneath it.

The lug tuning is what separates these from the stackable models. A key at each lug raises or lowers the head, so the drum can be set to a definite pitch, matched to other instruments, and brought back after the head settles in. For anyone playing tubolos alongside pitched instruments, or wanting a clean low, middle and high across three drums, that control is the reason to choose these.

Three-piece sets put all three sizes together. Individual drums come in three sizes, and a ten inch is stocked in Gold and Black.

Composite shells with fibreskin heads keep the tuning stable through humidity swings, so the adjustment is there when you want it rather than needed every session. Finishes are Ocean Blue, Baliku Chocolate, Abstract Orange, Caribbean and Gold and Black.
