Ukulele bags come in three levels of protection. Padded bags in soprano and concert are the standard choice for an instrument moving between home and school. Backpack-style bags in soprano and concert put the instrument on the back and leave both hands free, which is what a student actually needs. The polyfoam concert case is the firmest of the three, closer to a hard case, for an instrument that travels more roughly. The Ohana tenor gig bag covers the larger size.
Djembe bags come in four sizes as padded carry bags and as lighter drawstring bags. Sizing to the drum matters, because a djembe moving around inside an oversized bag is barely protected.
