Orff instruments for elementary music classrooms, Orff Schulwerk programs and school music departments across Canada. This collection covers the full Orff family: xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels, bass bars, contrabass bars and sub-contrabass bars, in soprano, alto, tenor, bass and contrabass ranges.

Empire Music is the exclusive Canadian distributor of SUZUKI Orff instruments, made in Japan. We also carry the EMUS Orff range, along with KinderMallets and GMP mallets. Bar instruments come diatonic, supplied as a C major set with F♯ and B♭ bars, or chromatic. A chromatic add-on extends a diatonic instrument to a full chromatic range without replacing the instrument.

Bar materials include rosewood and padauk hardwood, fibreglass in natural, white and rainbow colours, aluminum on metallophones, and steel on glockenspiels. Fibreglass bars hold their tuning through humidity changes. Resonator boxes are built for classroom handling and every bar lifts off individually.

The collection also includes individual replacement bars for every model we stock, Orff stands and trolleys, cords, pins and resonator hardware. Mallets come in yarn, cord, rubber and felt, in soft, medium and hard weights, sized for soprano, alto, bass and contrabass instruments.
