Collection: Resonator Bells

11 products

Resonator bells, chime bars and step bells from EMUS and SUZUKI, for classrooms, early years programs and music therapy settings.

A resonator bell is a single tuned bar mounted on its own small resonator block. Because each note is a separate object, a set can be handed out one note per student, which makes it one of the most useful tools there is for teaching pitch, part-playing and turn-taking. A class can play a chord together with every child responsible for one note.

Sets here run from 8-note diatonic through to 25-note chromatic in alto range. Single replacement bells are available in several notes for sets that have lost one.

Step bells arrange the same idea on a staircase, with the bars rising physically as the pitch rises. Seeing the scale go up as they hear it go up helps younger students connect high and low to actual direction. Soprano and alto step bells are both stocked.

Resonator bells take small, hard mallets, which are sold separately.
