Collection: Baritone Ukulele

Baritone ukuleles from THE CLASSIC and Ohana, the largest size at roughly 30 inches.

The baritone is tuned differently from every other ukulele. Where soprano, concert and tenor use GCEA, the baritone is tuned DGBE, which is the same as the top four strings of a guitar. That makes it the natural bridge for a guitarist picking up a ukulele, since the chord shapes transfer directly, and it also means baritone players read from different chord charts than the rest of a ukulele group.

The tone is deep and mellow, closer to a small classical guitar than to a soprano ukulele, and it works well as the low voice in a mixed ukulele ensemble.

Both mahogany laminate models and THE CLASSIC sapele model are stocked. Baritone strings are a separate set from standard ukulele strings and are stocked in the strings collection, as are baritone-sized bags.
