REMO percussion, built around synthetic heads and made for classrooms, drum circles and therapy work.

REMO's contribution to school percussion is the pretuned synthetic head. A natural skin head goes slack in a damp hall and tight in dry winter heat, and it needs attention. A REMO head does not, which is why a REMO drum bought for a school is still playing in tune years later with nothing done to it.

The classroom range covers kids tubanos, gathering drums in eighteen, twenty-one and twenty-two inch widths, floor toms, kids bongos, an eight inch kids djembe, hand drums with mallets in five sizes, buffalo drums in four sizes, ocean drums and paddle drums.

Worth knowing about: several models come with Not-So-Loud heads, which cut the volume noticeably. In a small hard-surfaced room with a full class playing, that is the difference between a session that runs to the end and one that has to stop.

The Versa tubano set of three nests together for storage, and the Didgeharp combines a didgeridoo drone with tuned tongues so one player covers both parts.

Also here: Fx and Ginga shakers, the Fruit Shake pack, lollipop drums and mallets, and spring drums and thunder tubes in six and seven inch.
