Cleaning rods clear moisture from the bore after playing, which is what stops a recorder from clogging and going breathy. They are sized to the instrument, with one rod for soprano and alto and a longer one for tenor.

Thumb rests glue to the back of the instrument and take the weight off the thumb, which matters most for younger players and for the larger sizes. They are sold in packs and sized separately for soprano, alto and tenor.
