Instruments that play to full standard but show a small mark in the finish, at a reduced price.
A cosmetic second is an instrument that failed a visual inspection rather than a playing one. The usual causes are a discolouration, a light scratch, or a small irregularity in the finish. None of it affects tone, intonation, action or durability, and every instrument here has been checked before listing.
The range is ukuleles. THE CLASSIC soprano, concert, tenor and baritone, the EMUS soprano in a choice of colours, and PUKANALA models supplied with a bag, including the Navigation series and solid-top instruments.
THE CLASSIC and PUKANALA instruments are set up by our in-house luthier before they go out, which is the part that actually determines how an instrument plays, and it is done on these exactly as on a full-price one.
For a school buying a class set, the marks are largely irrelevant within a term of normal handling, which is the argument for buying here.
Stock changes as instruments sell.
