Tubanos, congas and timpani for elementary classrooms and drum circles, from REMO and EMUS.

A tubano is a tall single-headed drum with a vented base, designed for schools. Because it stands on the floor, a seated student can play it with both hands without holding it up, and it gives a real low end without the weight or the price of a conga. REMO tubanos come tunable, in Kinte Kloth, Island and Rainbow finishes, and non-tunable in a tropical leaf design.

The Versa tubano set of three nests together for storage and uses Not-So-Loud heads, which drop the volume noticeably. In a small room with hard surfaces and thirty players, that is the difference between a session that works and one that has to be cut short.

REMO kids tubanos and a small kids konga are sized for younger children playing seated.

EMUS timpani drums come in four sizes. These are classroom timpani rather than orchestral machines, built to sit at a comfortable playing height and give the group a clear low pitch to anchor to.
