Three levels of protection are stocked. Light cloth bags keep dust and scratches off and are enough for an instrument that stays in a classroom. Padded gig bags add foam and a shaped body, which is what most players want for carrying an instrument between home and school. Polyfoam cases are semi-rigid and give the closest thing to hard-case protection while staying light enough for a student to carry.
Backpack-style bags with two shoulder straps are available in soprano and concert, which is worth considering for students who cycle or walk to lessons with a bag in each hand.
Sizes run soprano, concert, tenor and baritone, and they are not interchangeable: a soprano moving around inside a concert bag is less protected than one in the right size. The EMUS soprano bag comes in ten colours, which helps a class keep track of whose is whose.
