Collection: Kids Drums

Drums built and sized for young children, from REMO, Groove Masters Percussion, EMUS and NINO.

What separates these from smaller adult drums is weight, height and volume. A drum a child can actually hold, or one that stands at the right height for a seated five year old, gets played properly. One that is too heavy or too tall gets propped awkwardly and sounds bad no matter what the child does.

Hand drums with a soft mallet are the usual starting point. GMP supplies them in green, yellow, red and orange across three sizes, EMUS in five sizes, and REMO in five sizes singly or as a set with mallets. NINO's ten inch model has a handle on the back.

Floor-standing drums include REMO kids tubanos, a small konga, floor toms and gathering drums in eighteen, twenty-one and twenty-two inch widths. Several come with Not-So-Loud heads, which cut the volume noticeably and make a full circle bearable in a small room.

Also here: REMO kids bongos and an eight inch kids djembe, the NINO six inch mini djembe, a NINO ocean drum, the EMUS Tom Boy drum, and lollipop drums, which are single-headed drums on a handle held in one hand and struck with a mallet in the other.
