Collection: Drum Sticks

15 products

Drum sticks and beaters from Vic Firth and Groove Masters Percussion.

The Vic Firth range covers the standard weights. 7A is the lightest and suits smaller hands and quieter playing, 5A is the general-purpose stick most players use, and 2B is the heaviest, favoured for practice pad work because the extra weight builds control. 5A and 5B are stocked with both wood and nylon tips, and the tip material changes the sound noticeably on anything metal.

GMP hickory sticks come in 5A and 5B weights, and a seven A maple stick is stocked alongside them. Hickory absorbs shock well, which is why it is the usual choice for a stick that gets used hard.

Beyond conventional sticks, the GMP earth sticks are bundled rods that give a softer, brushier attack, stocked as a single and as a seven-prong pair, and the plastic whip stick is lighter again. Plastic brushes come in two colours for quiet playing.

IZZO tamborim sticks in double and triple prong are the specific beaters Brazilian tamborims are played with.
