REMO Tunable Tubano, Island Design - TU-111_(size)-16

The shape and sound of the tunable Remo Tubanos* are based on the Afro-Cuban conga drum with the addition of a sound-enhancing internal "tone transfer tube" as well as cutout vents around the bottom of the drum for increased power and projection.
